guild update

this is just some new info for those of you
that frequent hostboard and seldomly frequent
the guild.

its so important that you check the guild
when you play neopets. wm and i are working
hard to take neopets to a new level.
most other guilds do what we are doing...
so that is nothing new.

but we are trying to make hostboardians
have a bit more fun than just the routine
neopet experience.

it is no secret that we have/are starting
contests/quests for guild members to win
awesome stuff.

i have bought and donated many things...
and i have quite a bit more to give.
yes... this includes paintbrushes.... [img]smile.gif[/img]

at the moment, wiqued is really busy trying
to work on the guild as well as enjoy her
own time at neopets. she deserves a big
thanks.

also... its probably time to mention that
we (the guild) have our own donation account.
i've created a new ID in which we can use
for the guild. this new ID has had a shop
set up so that contest/quest prizes can
be viewed for present contests/quests.

in addition to the prizes (which will always
be priced at $100,000)... there are also
smaller items in the shop priced accordingly.
these smaller items are shit, yes... but
they serve a place if someone from the
guild wishes to donate some NP to the future
guild prizes.

i have visted a ton of guilds and shops and
seen that most people do it like this.
right now, the donation items you can purchase
are reasonably cheap. i've seen most bigger
guilds with the same items priced at $1k
and up.

this is just to help build the guild bank
so that bigger and better prizes come...
and frequently enough so that everyone has
a chance to win something smashing.

if you have NP to spare... or if you wish
to help us out... please.... please donate.
just pick an item and purchase it.
if you want, you can turn around and re-donate
that item back to the donation station.

my plan is that this new ID will not have
to play games to earn NP (to enlarge the
shop)... but to survive soully on donations.

i know its a long shot... but thats what
i'm hoping.

i don't want to sound like an asshole...
but i've spent a lot of time and NP on this
idea... hoping we can all have a good time.
i could have easily kept my stuff/NP for
myself and gotten all the things i've
wanted...
but what i want more than bs like that...
is for everyone in the guild to have just
as much fun.

i'm sure some MAY think that i have a ton
of NP and it would be simple for me to
help support the guild with prizes... while
that may be true... i've also had to earn
that NP...
as you know how frustrating it is to get
and save NP... know that i too had (and still
have) this problem. i don't mind donating
to the guild in this manner... as long as
we all have fun... and i don't feel exploited.

i also realized that many may think that
if they donate... they want to win a particular
thing. most of the people on the guild are
(or were) apart of the BOTM cabinet and
you know that i want to be as fair as possible.
most of you know my system and how i think
on things... especially contests.

if you donate $5k (for example) so that
the guild would purchase the paintbrush
you've always wanted... and you end up
not winning that contest... don't feel like
you have wasted your NP.
there will be more prizes and you can always
trade your prizes or sell them if its
something you don't want (which i doubt).

so please... if you can spare it...
please donate.

i hope in time that donations will be
much greater... and we all can grow and
develop our individual neopets how we want...
as well as build the strength of the guild
based on our foundations here at hostboard.

neopets is just a game.
its just something to have fun at.
thats what i want.

as stated earlier... wiqued is busting
her ass to decorate both the shop and the
guild... i have complete faith that she
will make it smashing....

but as it stands now... the donation station
is simple and generic (thanks to me and
my no talent).

please stop by and check it out... donate
if you can. i will be accepting NP and items
at this time...
hopefully good items so that the guild
can make some NP for prizes.

also... remember that when you donate, please
only donate to that particular ID. it helps
stop confusion.

i will be adding the guild members to the
donation station ID... so when you get the
invite to be its neofriend... please accept.

when you get the invitation... please go
by and support the guild... (and say hello
to the guild mascot!!! lmao)
